How do we: change color of items to PRE-EXISTING track colours?

Been on this on and off for a long time. I've got songs where the tracks/folders are set to different colours of course. MAY I ASK: (as ALL attempts have at least partially failed) Is there a good way to either select a bunch of tracks OR, a bunch or items and have all the items go to the same PRE-EXISTING color of the tracks or track. Happy to do it one track at a time. Thanks!

SWS/S&M Extension 

The SWS/S&M Extension has an Auto Color/Icon/Layout Feature so that depending on how you name a track, it will automatically adopt the color, icon, or layout of your choice.
