Burning a CD from REAPER... what am I doing wrong?

MessageAuthor

No regulars here who are online right now have spotted anything I may be doing wrong here yet?

I don't see any regions in your project (they would be in the top lane above the timeline). You have enabled "regions define tracks (other areas ignored)". We should make it so it gives a warning dialog if the user chooses this option but doesn't have any regions in the project.

RE: Burning a CD from REAPER... what am I doing wrong?

I only burned a CD from inside Reaper one time but it worked OK... If I recall and what Justin is saying also, is that there needs to be markers to define the start and end of each track on the CD... so at least a start and end [if I recall]... When I did it reaper was in an older ver. and I think the CD makers had to begin with the # symbol or the !... don't remember but it is in the user guide... I think I was told that in newer versions those symbols we no longer required, but the markers are still required... Sorry for vageness, but I use other burning tools now

Thanks again Schwa. The dialogue is up now and the CD is burning using CDRecord/CDtools :)

Just reporting that the CD burn worked successfully using either method (cdrecord/cdtools or the Windows native burning). As d.bop mentioned though, the Windows native burning method created 2 second pauses even if '0' was selected. Another question: Is there a way to configure the burn speed? It appears to be set quite low. A buffer display and progress bar would be nice additions too. ;)
